| Bonsoir! I recently spoke to Ian McWee at Diamond Bottlenecks and he told me that they now have "a man in France". This is what Ian told me: - Citation :
- Our new mainland Europe outlet is located in Brux, South Central France, and is now fully open to supply our 'Original' & 'Redhouse' bottleneck range directly from stock, with a selection of hand-blown lead crystal 'Ultimate' slides being available early next year.
The new workshop is being run by Brett & Donna Taylor ~ Brett being part of Diamond Bottlenecks from it's inception back in 1995 ~ and his contact e-mail address is: taylorace [AT] googlemail.com Good news for all French bottleneck sliders - c'est le best! I am also curious about the latest crystal bar for lap steel - at a recent gig I played in Lewes, there was a guy in the audience who came after the gig and showed me a beautiful Weissenborn he had built with a local luthier, and he had one of the new crystal tonebars - I tried it and it felt and sounded great. Saluté, Fred | |
