| I think you can go to "Les Instruments", then "Weissenborn".
It's a beginning... | |

| Well, I have... NO Weissenborn...
Dobro squareneck GoldTone (spider), Tricone squareneck metal Chattanooga from Busker guitars (B stock), roundneck metal MG 10 Johnson (biscuit) (eBay), roundneck wood Regal (spider) (eBay).
(That's enough... and TOO much for me, because for the moment I have some troubles with my hands, and play only a very little).
If (WHEN) I 'll play again, I dream of a teardrop. (Or a weiss).
Be careful, take your time, read, listen. And then.... work...
You may see for DVD to learn, for example, a.s.o.
It's just my opinion: I a a beginer too...
Good luck.

I'm so poor in information.....I see the forum is very rich........ in the last year several forum members did sell their weiss (either to fund another acquisition or because they needed money). These have been real bargains - although no entry cheap chineese models. Maybe there is still one available. Anyhow my advise is 'don't buy on impulse'. Start with a regular guitar converted and watch-out. Most posts are in French but you'll find friendly people who will translate. | |

| Thanks for information, But what should i check in a weissenborn to be a good one? Is plywood good for this kind of instruments? I have heard about oil finish (my friend has an acoustic). Is synthetic lacquer better for the sound? Is a brilliant guitar better than an opacque one as sound? I have a lot of question, sorry.... | |
